On Saturday we went to Orewa beach, about half an hour away from home. We met at 9:30 and loaded up into our two vans and Ramona’s car. Ramona’s husband drove one van and our guide James drove the other. James will be with us on all of our adventures as a group while we are here, Saturday was the first time we met him and he is awesome. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with our plans, we only stayed at the beach for a little more than an hour because it was so cold. But James had a backup plan and we went to a spa resort built on top of hot springs. The water was hot and it didn’t even matter that it was raining the whole day. Funny thing is that we left three girls there and had to go back and get them. Also, the minerals in the water turned my silver ring gold and then an ugly blue-ish metallic color. I was pretty upset, but it’s back to normal now so its all good.
